The Rees headstock design takes styling cues from French and German guitars of the 18th century.

Sperzel locking tuners provide exceptional tuning stability and rapid easy string changing.

The control cover is made of fine wood (not cheap plastic) for best tone and good looks.

The thick central body core provides superb clarity of tone, strong growly bass and sparkling treble, with long sustain. Side chambers with an F-hole add a little sweet modulation to the tone.

The well balanced and light body is carved on the front and the back and its soft curves and angled neck make it extremely comfortable to play.

The wrap-around bridge provides strong sustain and responsive feel.
Action height and intonation are fully adjustable.
( Alternatively a Hipshot high quality vibrato bridge can be fitted.)

Rees 2010 controls provide 4 different voice characters for the whole guitar :
Humbuckers;
Single-coils;
Twin-coils;
Triple-coils;

The Fender LSR roller nut provides smooth easy tuning;
lowest action; and tolerance of changing string thickness.

The neck truss-rod can be very easily adjusted by a hex-key on the side of the neck.

An optional scratchplate is available.

Ben Smith recorded a variety of playing styles on a Rees Rapport.
The versatile Rees 2010 controls provide easy selection of the best pickup voice for each tune.

Smooth and jazzy on the neck humbucker.

A bit like a 1967 version of "Hey Joe" on the neck single-coil.

A bit like a 1976 instrumental high gain lead using bridge triple-coils.

Sweet and melodic using both pickup single-coils.

A fuller and warmer clean tone using the neck triple-coils.

A rocky blues lead using both humbuckers and a bit of crunch from the amp.

Dish a little dirt from the bridge humbucker through a vintage amp.

Get chugging! Uses the 3-coil bridge selection for heavy tone.

Rees 2014 Sixy-Switch Controls

Featuring an innovative 6-way toggle pickup selector: The Free-Way Ultra switch made in England by NSF Controls Ltd; volume knob; tone knob.

6w 6ws ssw

This pickup selector switch is of the highest quality, with gold plated contacts and tags. It should last you more than your life-time of easy going reliable pickup selection.
A wide variety of voices are only a single click to select. The toggle knob always shows you which voice is selected. The toggle has 6 positions, feeling like a sports car gear change.

Standard pickup voice set for the 6 positions:
1) Neck Humbucker
2) Both Humbuckers (together, a bit funky)
3) Bridge Humbucker
4) Neck Single-Coil (fenderesque)
5) Middle clear humbucker tone (uses one coil from each pickup)
6) Both humbuckers anti-phased (Aka Peter Green)

Each of the 6 positions can be custom-wired to other pickup coil combinations

You can see more of NSF Controls' products at http://www.nsfcontrols.co.uk/ and more about the switch at http://www.freewayswitch.com/

Rees 2010 Controls:
3-way Pickup Selector: Neck PU; Both PUs; Bridge PU
Volume knob
Tone knob
4-way Rotary Voice Character Switch:
- Humbuckers;
- Pair-coils;
- Triple-coils;
- Single-coils.

This is tonally four guitars in one, each having a 3-way pickup selector that works as you would expect. That adds up to 12 various voices that are all very useful!

The rotary voice character switch effectively changes the voice of both pickups to select a different type of guitar thus:
1) The humbucker voices provide gibsonesque full humbucker tones.
2) The pair-coil voices provide full and clear bright middle tones.
3) The triple-coil voices provide heavy punching fat warmer tones.
4 ) The single-coil voices provide fenderesque thinner clear bright bell-like tones.

An optional phase reversal switch can be added to the Rees 2010 controls on the Rapport as a pull switch on the tone control.
